Mission and Values
Gaelscoil Chnoc Liamhna is an all-Irish school. We have pride in our language and our culture and we provide education through the medium of Irish for our children.

Déan do dhícheall
We ask all parents to make an effort to speak Irish in the schoolyard and to encourage some communication through Gaeilge at home. Even if you only have a “Cúpla Focal” it is important to use them. Having a positive attitude towards the language and encouraging communication through Gaeilge at home has a very positive effect on your child’s motivation to use and learn the language.
School Aims and Objectives
- To provide a high standard of education through the medium of Irish with emphasis on cultural activities, music and sport.
- That the children will feel happy and secure in school and that every individual child is valued as an integral part of the school community.
- That the children will have a strong sense of self confidence and self respect. That the children will respect and value others.
- Through good communication and involvement, the school will endeavour to bridge the gap between school and home.
- To develop a school community that is welcoming to parents, children and friends of the school in which Irish is the focal point and the spoken language.
