Music

Music plays a vital role in school life and is woven into many of our celebrations and events throughout the year. It is especially prominent during our Christmas
performances and Seachtain na Gaeilge celebrations, where pupils are given the opportunity to showcase their musical talents, build confidence, and contribute to the vibrant and inclusive atmosphere of our school community.

Irish Music

Múinteoir Cárthaigh leads our talented school choir, which plays an important role in many school celebrations. The choir always puts its best foot forward at events such as First Holy Communion, Confirmation and the Christmas carol service at our local church.

The music group, led by Múinteoir Aogán, plays a central role in many school events and celebrations. In particular, they are a highlight of our Saint Patrick’s Day festivities, which include céilí dancing, performances of traditional Irish music by the group, and a parade in the school yard for parents and families.

Pupils from Second Class and Sixth Class also play the tin whistle on Grandparents’ Day, which adds greatly to the enjoyable and musical atmosphere of the occasion.
