Our History
The school was established in September 1996. A group of parents, teachers and friends worked together in order to provide this educational amenity in the locality. The school started off with 36 pupils in prefab premises.

20 years of campaining
The community campaigned for many years to replace the original prefab premises and build a permanent school building.
In October 2018 pupils, teachers and parents from the school gathered outside the Dáil with placards urging the government to build a permanent building for the school, after a meeting was held by the school community calling on the government to construct a building for the school.

“Construction on the new site finally begins!”

New School Building
Our First Day in November 2021
We have now moved into a new permanent, three story building, providing modern facilities after a long-term campaign for a new school. The building includes 16 en-suite classrooms, a general purpose room, special education rooms, a library, a sensory room and a roof garden.
Our first day in the new school building was a joyous occasion and there were big smiles on every child’s face this morning. Gaelscoil Chnoc Liamhna abu!
“Thank you to everyone who campaigned all the years and helped us get our new school building”
“Iontach é seo a fheiceáil a chairde!”
